When editing photos, the + - box in the bottom right corner of the image use to only come up when adjustments were made to the image, now it adds on when I just click on it, I would like for it to only add on there when actual adjustments are made, that way I know which ones need to be edited and which ones have been already. Anyone know how to turn it off for just "clicked on" images? Thanks!

Please describe a little bit more detailed.
Where do you click on it? Library or Develop module?
Do you have add a template with adative masks, like a object or sky selection?
What you can try is to reset the preferences of Lightroom Classic to the default settings:
How to reset Lightroom Classic preferences (adobe.com)
It's recommended to backup your preferences before you reset the preferences to the default settings:

Hey!
I click on the image at the bottom row in the develop module. I don't think I ever made a template that has adaptive masks, but I did reset the preferences, but it's still doing it to the images I click on.

Does this happen on all images?
Try to reset all editings in den Develop module.
Does the +/- box disappears and comes it again if you click on it in the thumbnail view?
