Issue:

Lightroom Classic Version Number: 12.0.1

OS Version Number: Windows 10 Pro 19044.2130

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Swith to "develop" tab
  2. Only Hover over a slider: example "exposure"
  3. Move the mouse

Expected result: The slider should not change unless you click and hold the mouse button
Actual result: The slider starts to change the value.  For example increase or decrease the exposure

I have an update.  Apparently it only happens when you use a Mask.  In My Case, the select subject -> invert mask and when the mask is selected.
This is really bad!  I have a client that is expecting their images by next Friday and Lightroom has become unusable!!!  Where's the QA testing?!?!?!?!?

Update number 2.  Seems I was getting some sort of interferience with another bluetooth device.  There was a bluetooth USB toggle plugged into the back of my computer.  I don't remember what it was for and looked all around my desk and workstation and the only Bluetooth devices were my keyboard and mouse.  Anyway I unplugged the toggle I found and Lightroom was working as expected.  Strange coincidence it started happening right after I upgraded lightroom

If the other suggestions don't help, try resetting LR's preferences:
https://www.lightroomqueen.com/articles-page/how-do-i-reset-lightrooms-preferences/

LR sometimes soils its preferences file, and resetting it can fix all sorts of wonky behavior. That article explains how to restore the old preferences if resetting doesn't help.

In preferences, turn off use GPU, see if the odd behavior goes away.

Another possibility, the mouse, do you have another to swap out?

P.S. You are not perhaps touching the up or down key?
