I've just downloaded a new version of lightroom classic.
everything seems to be working coreectly except the fact that I am able to edit any picture in the develop module.
all pictures are accessible on the library module.
on the develop module, I see the pictures with their caracteritics on the below bar....but whatever I do to select them and develop them, the screen stay black.....
the system seems to be working very well...
It was well working on my previous version 5
I have a imac Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017, with Radeon Pro 580 8 Go, 8 Go 2400 MHz DDR4, 3,8 GHz Intel Core i5 quatre cœurs
and OS version 13.5.1

So Lightroom Classic needs to be logged in to have full access. One of the things that's turned off when you're not logged is in Develop. You should have used the Creative Cloud app to download Lightroom Classic.

Refer @GoldingD post from last week below. Please provide an update.
Are you now successfully signed in to your Creative Cloud account?
Is Lightroom Classic activated? What does System Info now show?

it is supposed to be a standalone version.it that case, there is no need to be signed in a Creative Cloud account...is that correct ?how can I verify if lightroom classic is activated ?sorry for those stupid questions

The System Imformation from your copy of LrC that you posted shows that you have v11.5. That is not the standalone or perpetual version. Standalone/perpetual ended at v6.14.

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs.
