Cache issues with Lightroom

I've been having issues with getting into Lightroom. I'm a photographer so I edit all my pictures on Lightroom 5.7.1 version. A couple weeks ago, I tried to get in it to edit and it said that it wouldn't open due to a cache issue. I read online that uninstalling it and then installing it again would help it but I've done that x amount of times and it's still not working. At this point, I've reached out to Adobe and they've stated that it's not something that they can help me with and that I need to create a forum, hence this.

I've gone and bought a new computer because I also read that it could be my hard drive crashing and so I needed to get all my pictures over to the new one, just in case. But the problem still arises when I try to go back into Lightroom to get all my other pictures.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Correct answer ManiacJoe

The usual workaround for cache issues is to delete the "preview.LrData" folder and let LR recreate the previews as needed.
