Question

Camera profiles don't coincide with my camera

It's been a while since I used the Camera Matching Profiles in LR CLassic, so I was surprised to find that those now listed do not even closely match those in my camera. They used to, but now they seem to be generic. Does anyone have any idea why?

I'm using a Mac with Sequoia 15.5, LrC 14.4, and an OM-1 OM Systems camera.

Thanks!

... but now they seem to be generic

This may be because you are working with a JPG and not a RAW.

And don't say "you always shoot raw" because that's not evidence. Please look at the exact name and file type of the image. Many people have told us "I always shoot raw" and yet when questioned, we discover that somehow they have a JPG photo.

If you are working with a RAW, instead of saying "Generic" please tell us what camera profiles you do see, give us the exact names.

The files I was working on are all .orf, which are OM Systems' raw files.

Camera Matching profiles listed in LrC are Camera Muted, Camera Natural, Camera Portrait, Camera Vivd, Camera Monotone, Camera Monotone+G Filter, Camera Monotone+Or Filter, Camera Monotone+R Filter, and Camera Monotone+Ye Filter. Names in camera are i-Enhance, Vivid, Natural, Monochrome, Underwater, & Soft Focus.

@mclynn , how are you making the comparison, memory recall of what you see on your camera to what you see on your Computer Monitor?

Or are you using the raw conversion software provided by your Camera manufacturer?
I your Computer monitor profiled with physical profiler?
