Can .cube-LUTs, converted via ACR, be used with files other than raw images (e.g., .ARW)?

I followed the procedure for converting .cube Luts in Camera Raw using a raw file, but the profiles are only available for working on  raw file types (e.g, ARW) and not other types of files (e.g., .dng, .tiff, etc.)

Am I correct in concluding that .cube Luts cannot be coverted into profiles for use in Lightroom Classic using anything other than a true raw file (e.g.,  .dng, tiff, etc.), and that there is no way to convert .cube files into profiles for use  with .dng and .tiff files?

Yeah, I'm not a fan of YouTube videos either. You waste a lot of time before they get to the point, if they do get to the point you want to know at all. There is really a lot of information about this online, however, and not everything is videos. You should be able to get your answer by using Google, that is what I would have to do to help youn out. Here's one where you don't need to watch a video. https://www.lightroomtutorials.com/lut-to-profiles/ Unfortunately they don't tell you how to make the profile useful for raw and RGB, but they do tell you how to add copyright information. At that point, hold the Option/Alt key down when you choose the Rename Profile menu. That should give you the bigger info box Rob shows in this screenshot.

Hi @CooledgeR   I have summarized the video in a word document-  Step#18 is the important step to make the Profile available to all file types. I hope it is helpful.

I think you wil find an answer in this link by John Beardsworth-

LUTS in PS and incorporating them into profiles for Lightroom

In the video it shows these options-  "Raw and Non-Raw Images"

The solution posed is one I am familiar with and involves .xmp files, not .cube files.  So I do thank you for taking the time to pass along the tip, but it didn't proviude an answer to both questions I posed (viz. (1) can the image file opened during the conversion process be something other than a "RAW" file, and (2) if not, is there a way to make the resulting profile created with the "Raw" image file work with anything other than a "Raw" file?

Thank you.
I'll see if I can make it happen with your suggestion.

When you create the profile in ACR, you should be able to specify that you want it to support both raw and RGB files. I think you have to open the info dialog while holding the Option key, but as I'm typing this on my iPad, I can't check the specifics or post a screenshot.
