Yes, you purchase Lightroom 6, and it's a one time only payment. NOTE: Some features that are available to people who purchase the subscription are not available to Lightroom 6 purchasers.

Go to Software & Services , scroll down to Photoshop Lightroom (that's the official name of Lightroom 6) and click on Buy

Sure, a nine month old post can be out of date as Adobe changes it's software and policies.

You can purchase Lightroom 6, update to 6.14 and pay once. BUT ... there are no more updates, no more bug fixes, no more new features and no support from Adobe if you buy Lightroom 6.

You can also purchase Lightroom Classic CC for a monthly subscription amount of US 9.99.
