Can't Import files from Photomatrix Pro into Lightroom Lightroom version: CC 2015.12

Recently I found that I can't automatically reimport files into Lightroom CC from Photomatrix.  The files show up in Explorer but I can't even manually import them as it looks like Lightroom starts the process to import them but the photos never show up in the filmstrip.  If I go back and use an older version of Lightroom it works with no issues.
