Question

Can’t merge to HDR to create timelapse in Lightroom

I'm trying to merge 180 photos into a Timelapse.  When I select all and merge to HDR, it gets stuck about 1/3 the way done, then freezes.  I've tried in both Lightroom and Lightroom classic.  Do I need to update my CPU on my 2020 Mac?  I've heard people do this with 800 photos.  Thanks

For Time Lapse you might be interested in this link that explains how to edit a Slideshow Preset/Template:

Thank you!!! You're right.  I figured it out, there's a software called LR Timelapse.

Merge to HDR merges three to five images into one new HDR file. What you are trying to do is something different, and that is not what Merge to HDR is designed for. I am sure you misunderstood what other people do. Merging 180 images into a single HDR file would be complete madness and would have nothing to do with a timelapse.

It's also possible to create timelapses in Photoshop which you have access to already. No need to buy other software. Photoshop does an outstanding job at this and allows for much higher quality video exports
