Can't open ARW files on Lightroom 6

Question

Hi all,Recently I bought a Sony alpha 7R III, but now I can't import the photo's to my Lightroom app (Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6.14). I installed the camera raw plugin, but it doesn't solve anything. I can't view the photo's either on my Macbook (macOS Big Sur 11.6.5). Anyone know what to do to solve the issue?Kind regards,Jessica

Download the free Adobe DNG Converter and convert the ARW files to DNG. That is your only option if you want to continue to use Lightroom 6. Lightroom does not use Camera Raw, it has its own built-in Camera Raw routines. That's why installing a new version of CameraRaw is pointless.

Of course you could also upgrade to Lightroom Classic subscription...
