Can't open Lightroom classic

Question

Hello,  I am getting this message when I try and start LRC "The lightroom catalog named Lightroom Catalog-2-v12 cannot be opened because another application already has it opened".  Help me Please!!

Sounds like the last time you finished LrC, it did not close nicely, either a crash, or a forced quit. Have you checked or a lock file that did not get deleted?

As you are new in the community, I will not assume the above is LrC 101 to you, and as such state to see:

Error: Lightroom catalog cannot be opened
