Cannot access Photos Library on external hard drive from Import Source

With help from Apple, I've transferred my Apples Photo Library to an external hard drive.  I think I've somehow pressed a wrong button in my wanderings, as now that library is not listed in the list of 'Sources' one needs to access when importing to Lightroom--an Apple issue or a LrC issue?
