Cannot find all photos after upgrading to 14.2

I recently got LR6 upgraded to LrC 14.2 on my Win10 laptop. All my photos and backups are on a NAS external drive.  I can find and open all pictures an any photo viewer. They are all there. But I would like to get all my folders back in the Library section of the screen under "folders." I have many folders for each month/year I took pictures.  My final edits are also on the NAS drive.  How do I get the folders to all show again? I did try importing from another catalog (my last backup which was end of March.) and it threw an error (see attached) Basically I need to remap my Library to see all the folders on the E: drive, or at least select the folders for my lightroom work.

Thanks in advance for assistance.

  1. This redirects to my original problem, which I kind of solved myself.  Now I am having the issue from the original post here. I clicked the import catalog from the file drop down, selected the lrcat that was copied to the folder on the c drive ( since I keep seeing the warning about upgrading catalogs on external drives) and it threw the error that I attached before. Is there another way to map to all my picture folders on my NAS? All my backups are on the NAS as well which means the lrcats associated with the backup are too. Never had an issue with LR6 with catalogs and storing on a NAS.

Read that link again. You'll need a working catalog, so your catalog needs to be upgraded. If Lightroom Classic 14.2 cannot upgrade your old catalog, then there is a chance that Lightroom Classic 13 can do it (Adobe made some significant changes between these two versions). So downgrade to Lightroom Classic 13 and try to upgrade your old catalog. If Lightroom Classic 13 has successfully upgraded that catalog, it should be possible to upgrade to Lightroom Classic 14.2 again and let it upgrade the version 13 catalog.
