Cannot import Sony a7 III mp4 video

Windows 10 Pro / Lightroom Classic 12.3 / Camera Raw 15.3. Fresh install of Lightroom.

I am new to lightroom, and on the trial plan. I have successfully imported photos from folder and via USB to camera, but video fails. If I navigate to the video files during import lightroom shows "Preview unavailable for this file." in each video thumbnail. If I try to import (using "Copy" or "Add"), a pop-up appears saying "Some import operations were not performed" and for each file "The was a problem with the video file".This happens for all video files taken with the camera over the last months since I bought the camera (~100 videos on 5 different SD cards).

I have checked permissions on the folders, purged and expanded the video cache, and ensured that the dynamiclinkmanager.exe is not hanging.

Any ideas of how to fix or troubleshoot?

- Yes, I can import photos from the camera.
- I navigate to my SATA drive with the files and chose "Add", so I expect the destination is the source.
- I am away from the workstation right now, I will give you the exact path when I am back. But it is of the form: "K:/Sony a7iii/project 10/Private/M4ROOT/CLIP/C0016.MP4"
- And I can play the videos from outside lightroom.
- Here is a link to one of the files: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_VhkDuoLPopFOJ_IRmsDfKZRhXnKNGfD/view?usp=share_link

My best guess is that this is due to something in my windows installation, but not sure how to troubleshoot and not ready to reinstall windows for a trial.

I think there Lightroom Classic has a limit on the number of penguins that can appear in the photo or video — haha, just joking. That's a lot of penguins!

This file imports correctly into my Lightroom Classic 12.3 on Windows 11. So I am at a loss as to why it won't import for you.

Update:
- It works perfectly on on the system computer in Lightroom CC.
- Procmon shows problems loading VLC. It looks to me like a path is missing a seperator. Could this be the issue? VLC works without problems on its own, playing the file I cannot import. Maybe it is a path specific for lightroom?Capture.PNG
