I have the original standalone Lightroom 6.14 on my PC. I downloaded the Creative Cloud app to try Lightroom Classic. When I click Lightroom Classic in ther Creative Cloud app it opens my standalone 6.14. How do I get Lightroom Classic to open? I do not want to uninstall 6.14.

Thank you for your reply. I do have a financial subscription. I am able to open  Lightroom Classic now. I did not realize that the Creative Cloud relabelled the Standalone version of Lightroom as Lightroom Classic. That's why it kept opening when I clicked the icon. I was able to install Lightroom Classic version 12 and open it. The Creative Cloud then relabelled the standale version of Lightroom as Lightroom Classic version 6. So the confusion ended and all is good.

Do you have a subscription to the Photography Plan 20GB ?

You need to be a financial subscriber to use Lightroom-Classic v12 beyond a trial.

You can Trial it for the 7-day trial period, and it should be possible to install it from the CC Desktop App- Maybe scroll down the list of apps until you see "Lightroom Classic" and (Install).

Remember- If you do not cancel a trial within 14 days you will become a paid subscriber with a 12-month contract.

If you do NOT plan to subscribe to the Photography Plan you will then need to uninstall the CC Desktop App, and possibly re-install Lr6.14 to keep it as a standalone version. (The existence of the CC Desktop App converts 6.14 to the subscribed version CC2015!)

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.1.1, Photoshop 27.3.1, ACR 18.1.1, Lightroom 9.0, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.2 .
