Cannot Synch to External Hard Drive

Question

I store on a external hard drive. Up until recently, I have had no problems with editing or synching. I am on Release 12.01, on an Imac Version 11.7. I now get the following message, when I open Lightroom Classic:

'Lightroom cannot write to the following directories. Until this problem is resolved, synching from Lightroom may not function correctly.'

In addition to this message, I cannot use any presets. I can manually edit, but I am not able to synch.

The message probably tells you what directories are the problem. So, in your operating system, verify that the permissions for those directories have WRITE permission (may be called FULL permission).
