Canon r10 raw cr3 files not importing to lightroom

Hi i have a new canon r10  and copied photos from this to my pc, when i tried to import to Lightroom but the thumbnail pics say  preview unavailable when I do the import it says files appear to be unsupported or damaged.  Apparently lightroom is up to date, what is required to fix this. Thank you

First up, your Adobe Creative Cloud, a.k.a Creative Cloud Desktop. Is it the current version. As you apparently have a LrC going way back to v 10 and you cannot receive an update, perhaps the Creative Cloud is old and out of date and buggy (their have been updates, including bug fixes)

 

Bring up your copy of Creative Cloud, and see if it is as follows:

Please go to Help>System Info… and provide us with your software's installed version number.

Hi have emailed with screenshots is windows 10 Lightroom classic version 10.4 doesn't let me upgrade thank you

Os is windows 10 Lightroom version 10.4
