I am so SAD! I have bought a new Macbook M4 Max
However, Lightroom CC lastest version, cant EXPORT slideshows as videos!
the progress bar is stopped at nearly 10% position.
No matter if I wait several hours it won't move any progress = I Cant export slideshow as Video
I always used this function, for a few years, day by days
I uninstalled the LR and tried reinstalling it, but it still failed.
Does anybody have the same issue?
I wonder if it is a problem related to M4 chips. Please kindly help and fix please!

Hey, @Kai Chung33108495c6mz. Welcome to Lightroom Community. I'll help you figure this out.
Does this happen with a specific slideshow? As a test, try using a different catalog from File > New Catalog, beginning with a different set of images and checking if that helps.
If this does not help, a good step to troubleshoot this problem is to reset Lightroom Classic manually. Here's how you can do it:
You can try to clear the DynamicLink Manager (it handles video playback in Lightroom) by following these steps:
For macOS, delete the following on your system:
This reset can often resolve unexpected issues. If the problem persists, feel free to reach out for more help!
Thanks!

Hey, @Kai Chung33108495c6mz, @keiths7639153, @defaultoh2pus446z9h & @mikelmags. Please share the system info from Lightroom Classic from Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.
Ensure Lightroom Classic has required permissions on the macOS: https://adobe.ly/4iSXgRz;
Additionally, if you haven't tried this already, try this:
A - Go to File > Create a New catalog with different images.
Or,
B - Right-click on the collection you wish to make the Slideshow with & select Export as Catalog.
Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

I have had the same issue ...just started with Lightroom classic 14...was fine before
I have talked to Adobe tech support 3 times and they say their engineers are working on it and am waiting to hear back ...but they appear to not know why this is happening ...getting very frustrated
I am assuming there is a bug in version 14 they need to fix but don't want to come out and say that.

Hallo,

It used to work for years. Not anymore, get's stuck at about 5%, why?
Situation: 800 photos, all plain vanilla jpeg, transition time 1.9s, zoom to fill, 1080p
Computer: Mac Studio M2 Ultra, 192 GB, 48 core, Sequoia 15.2, 8TB SDD, plenty of space
Lightroom Classic 14.0.1
Already tried different resolutions, transition speed, fewer photos, export in new catalog and do from there....
Nothing seems to work.
A bug or am I missing something fundamental here?

[Updated steps][Updated steps 2nd time]
I'm not able to reproduce this on my Apple M2 Max. With relatively few users reporting this issue, it's much more likely Adobe will pay attention if someone can provide a smallish test catalog that causes the issue on their computer. This can narrow down the issue by identifying whether it's the particular photos that's causing the problem (easier for Adobe to debug) or it's something about your particular computer or installation (harder):
1. Select the smallest number of photos that causes the problem and put them into a new collection.
2. In Slideshow's Template Browser, add a new template that captures the current settings. Verify the bug still occurs using that template.
3. Right-click the template and do Export.
4. Select all the photos in the collection from step 1, do File > Export As Catalog, with the options Export Selected Photos Only and Export Negative Files (but no other options).
5. Move the exported template from step 3 (a .lrtemplate file) into the catalog folder.
6. Zip up the exported catalog folder and upload it to Wetransfer, Dropbox, Google Drive, or similar and post the sharing link here.
7. Report the Video Preset (e.g. 1080p (1:9)) that causes the problem.
8. Do the LR menu command Help > System Info and copy/paste the entire contents here.

I'm using M4 Max 16" MacBook Pro running on Sequoia 15.2, Lightroom Classic 14.1.1.
I followed the steps that @Sameer K gave and still didn't resolve my issue. I still get stuck at 10% of exporting slideshow as video. It's super frustrating because it was working 2 weeks ago on my other laptop (M2 Max). What is supposed to be a quick and easy way to export slideshow as videos has become so troublesome and a hindrance to my entire workflow.
I hope @Sameer K your team can resolve this asap with an update.

Here also the same problem with Mac Mini4 and the latest version of Lightroom which I love to work with, but exporting video of a selection of photo's just don't work, tried almost every suggestion I read on the internet. But nope. not working. As it's a part of my workflow I have to do it on my old iMac which costs time and frustration! I'm pretty sure it's not the pictures which are the problem. Also not the catalogue . Looks like some kind of bug to me. Does anyone have a good suggestion how to make a similar easy video with one of the other Adobe programs. Video-editing programs take more time.
Thanks

The export slideshow has not been working since updating to LR 14.
I'm on an M4 Max using OSX 15.5
I've just downgraded to V13 and exported a 77 image slideshow, with a mix of portrait and landscape images, with a background, text and custom audio in under a minute. On LR 14 it just hangs at 10%.
I've been on support with an agent who took control of my screen and did lots of checks regards GPU acceleration, zoom to fill settings, music settings, preference files etc and his suggestion when it couldn't be fixed was to use Adobe Express instead... which was not slick to do at all. I don't see this as an acceptable solution and would hope the Devs can look at what's broken and fix it going forward!

There are a fair number of reports here of slideshow export failing in LR 14 on Mac. Unfortunately, the Slideshow module (like Map, Book, and Web) is no longer well-supported by Adobe. So your best option, at least in the short term and likely in the long term, is to use a third-party app for creating slideshows.
