Circle Crop - Lightroom?

Is there a way to crop an image to a circle within Lightroom? Or does this necesitate popping the image in to Photoshop? Hoping to stay in Lightroom!

Photoshop does not have circle crop either. No application has this. A digital file is rectangular by definition. You can make it appear like a circle crop in Lightroom, by going to Effects and using 'Post-crop vignetting'. Set the Vignetting to 100 so you get a pure white vignette, and set the Feather to zero. Use Roundness +100 to create a perfect circle and Midpoint close to zero to make the circle fit.

Hi Johan - Thanks for the feedback! In the method you describe, would there be a way to make the white space around the circle transparent?

No, Lightroom cannot create transparency.

Hi there,

Lightroom does not have a feature that lets you crop in a circle.

However, it would really help if you can share your feedback on our community:

As this forum is monitored by our engineers, and they might look into this for future releases.

We need more helping hands like you, as we're building towards a better user experience.

Thanks,
