computer resetting

Hello everyone. I’m coming to you with a problem in Lightroom Classic version 14.3.1. The issue is that LRc doesn’t detect the graphics processor, and when using masks, brushes, or generative denoise, the computer starts to restart. Unfortunately, this prevents me from working. In LRc’s performance settings, I don’t have the option to choose whether to use the integrated graphics card or the external graphics card. The steps I’ve taken include downloading the drivers for my graphics card and performing a clean driver installation. This didn’t help. I also performed a factory reset. That didn’t help either. My computer components are: - MSI Z370 Gaming Plus motherboard - 32GB RAM - i5-8600k overclocked to 4.6 GHz - GTX 1080 - Windows 10

To get a clearer idea about the problem, please share more information, like when you started noticing this issue and whether you recall any changes made to the system, such as an update, software installation, or any hardware changes. When the computer restarts, do you see any blue screen of death (BSOD) errors, or does it abruptly shut down? If it's a BSOD, please note down the error code. Also, as asked by dj_paige, your system information would be beneficial (from Help> System Info> Copy and paste it into a text file and attach it with your response).

While we wait, you can try out these fixes. See if they work.

Try resetting Lightroom's preferences: A corrupted preferences file can sometimes cause various issues.

The issue started a year ago when the computer began restarting in literally all applications that required processor usage. At that time, I took the computer to a service center because I thought it was a power supply issue, as indicated by benchmarks. When I ran a stress test program, the computer restarted specifically when the power supply was stressed. However, the service center identified a lack of liquid in the water cooling system. They replaced the cooling system, and I also upgraded the RAM from 16GB to 32GB. Additionally, they reduced the processor overclock from 5GHz to 4.6GHz and reinstalled the system. Since then, there were no issues. I could play demanding games on ultra settings, and everything worked fine, as did Adobe programs. Everything was fine until last week when I started denoising photos, and the computer began restarting. Today, it’s even worse. When I start working on masks, the computer restarts. It’s not a BSOD; the computer resets without any information, shuts down, and restarts after a moment. I’ll add that the issue only occurs in Adobe programs. There’s no problem when playing games. The steps I’ve taken include resetting the predefined settings in Lightroom Classic, but that didn’t help. I also downloaded and performed a clean installation of the graphics card driver from the manufacturer’s website, which also didn’t help. At your request, I’m also attaching system information.
