Question

Copying Crop / Aspect Ratio from one image not Pasting to a new image

Hi Team,
Issue on MacBook pro. I was able to copy the Aspect Ratio / Crop shape from an image (horizontal rectangle) and pasting the settings to another image. I just updated my Lightroom Classic and Copying Crop / Aspect Ratio is NOT Pasting to another image like it used to. See video I uploaded for reference.
Any help appreciated.

When you sync/copy a crop's aspect ratio from a landscape to a portrait photo or vice versa, LR will automatically rotate it to match the target photo's orientation. For example, here's what happens when copying the crop from the left to the right photo:

There's no way to stop LR from doing that. However, you could use the Copy/Paste commands of the Any Crop plugin, which doesn't rotate the aspect ratio:

Thank you for your help. I'm not into adding pluggins. I found a different solution. I cropped one new image from the collection and copied and pasted the crop. It worked!

Thanks again

I have to ask please. How do you copy and paste a crop? Please provide steps in how this is done. Then you can 'paste' that crop into another image? This is news to me as I've never seen it done. tia, Ken
