CR3 files not being recognized.

I have some CR3 files from a Canon R5 and they aren't being recognized by lightroom, photoshop or bridge. I am running the latest versions of all 3 apps and the latest version of camera raw. (ACR17) It says that it doesn't recognize the file type.

Dont know if u already solved it, but I tried to rename the file and .CR3 to .DNG, and it worked!

Having the same issue now. I am running on Mac, PC, and iOS and in all 3 versions I can't search for .cr3 and get any or all of the results. The individual photos will be listed as CR3 but when I search ".cr3" I get nothing or just 1 or 2 photos out of hundreds. Some albumns work better than others. Very strange and wasn't like this a month ago.

What does "aren't being recognized" mean in terms of LrC? In what step in LrC does this happen? What is the exact error message? What version NUMBER of LrC?
