Crop overlay does not change with O key

Hello,

I have Lightroom CC and my problem is the key shortcuts. When I read Keyboard shortcuts for Lightroom Classic CC  and try to test them, most don't do do anything and some do something completely different from what it is supposed to do. It has been bugging me, but now, that I found out, that I can not change the Overlay composition grid, I really need your help. How can I change the shortcuts and how can I use all of the cropoverlays?

If you subscribed to the photography plan, just bring up your Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop, in the apps tab scroll down to Lightroom Classic CC and install. You can have both.

Your probable mistake is common, Some genius (not) marketing type at Adobe made a decision to rename the Lightroom for smartphone %#$$4 (yes I know, more Cloud use than phones)  as Lightroom CC. This caused lots of angst when the did it, especially as Adobe really really marketed the #$% as latest and greatest, with an Oh by the way, in small print, at bottom, for you old farts the desktop version is now called Classic.

To add to the angst, CC is listed before Classic CC in the app list, below the fold as it where.

Yes, this still ticks me off.

end vent.

In Lightroom CC (the cloud-based Lightroom) pressing the letter O simply hides/reveals the crop overlay. It doesn't change to different overlays. Are you using Lightroom CC, or Lightroom Classic CC? There is a big difference.

That is bad news - I thought I got Lightroom Classic. Is my only option to buy Lightroom Classic extra or is there a way to change Lightroom Cloud into Lightroom Classic?

I'm just an old retired user of Adobe products. However, I understand that it's possible to switch subscriptions. I suggest that you contact Adobe customer support. Here is the link:

First of all, do you have Ligthroom CC (Cloud based) or Lightroom Classic?

Second, is the Lightroom interface in English, or is it a different language?

How do I see that? I think I have cloudbased, since the photos are backed up in the cloud.

Go to Help > About Lightroom (possibly Lightroom > About Lightroom on a Mac) to verify.

If you are using Lightroom CC, shortcuts for Lightroom Classic will not work. They are two different programs.
