Question

Cursor not responding on main image Lightroom Classic CC

Hi,

This is difficult to explain so here goes.

Things like exporting an image by right clicking on it won't work.  To solve this I right clicked the thumbnail at the bottom - all good.

But then when trying to adjust crop for instance, again there was no response.  Im using a Mac and all functions are working as normal outside of LR Classic CC.

All adobe apps are up to date as of 1313 mountain time, 22 Jan 2019.

Anyone having these problems and know how to sort it?

And one standard item to check, that you probably already did, in LR preferences do nit use the GPU

Ok, one odd thing from the system information I overlooked, perhaps you are already not using the GPU maybe that’s why the listing of the GPU seems odd. Almost looks as the discreate video chip off the motherboard is listed. I do not know if this is a desktop or a notebook, but both have descerate video chips, a desktop a GPU in the form of a card, a notebook a GPU in the form of another chip, iMAC??

So, looking at the System Information,

    LR version check

    license check

OS version check (problems with Mojave exists, mostly prior LR v8, and nit the mouse. an update appears to exist as if yesterday, but mostly fir security)

GPU via Metal, check (OpenGL would be bad)

So, none of the normal suspects

one troubleshooting diagnostic is to check plug-ins. Most if yours are the normal non suspect. But 2 and 6??

migot try disabling those as a diagnostic.

mentioned in the folowing link, that you will want to go thru

    So, a standard request..

In Lightroom, click on Help, click on System Information, click on Copy. Paste into reply

    Hi James,

Sorry to hear about the performance issues with Lightroom, have you tried restoring the preferences back to default and see if it helps?

Up until now I have been quitting Lightroom then reopening it.  This seemed to alleviate the issue but only for a short while.  I shall try reseting the preferences though.

    Many thanks,

    James
