Custom metadata panels

I've been working with the Custom Metadata Panels functionality in Bridge, building out panels for future use for myself and my department. Is there any expectation that the Custom Panels functionality will be added to Lightroom sometime in the near future?  Or alternatively, is there a way to import the exported JSON file from Bridge into Lightroom?

Correct answer James Lockman Enterprise

For other readers, the poster is referring to Custom Metadata Panel, which is an extension for Bridge, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro. We do not have plans to create a version for Lightroom at this time.

You can customize the fields displayed in the Default tagset of the Metadata panel:

You can also create custom tagsets using the Metadata-Viewer Preset Editor plugin. If you're technically inclined, the Lightroom Classic SDK documentation explains how to do it by writing straightforward config files (no programming).
