Denoise AI error

Hi all,

 

maybe someone can help.

I can not use the new AI denoise function due to an unknown GPU error.

Using a Dell Windows PC, win 11, with two graphic cards: Intel Iris Xe (Driver Version 2023-03-16) and NVIDIA GeForce MX350 (Driver Version 2023-04-2023). Both graphic card drivers are updated.

I tried all possible things but the error remains.

- reset LR preferences, deinstalled LR, restarted the PC, installed LR - did not help

- turning off the GPU in preferences menu - no help either

- doesn´t matter which photo I try (Sony cameras A/R3 and A7 IV)

Can anybody help?

    It would be helpful if you would provide the 'System Info' in the form that LrC presents it. You can obtain same from the LrC Help > System Info mneu item as shown in attached screenshot.

     

    In the meantime, the error message may be due to the GPU compatibility test failing when LrC is launched. Usually, this can be fixed by following the steps set out below.

     

    1. Quit Lightroom Classic.

    2. Locate the Camera Raw GPU Config.txt file.

      • (macOS) /Users/[user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/GPU/Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic/Camera Raw GPU Config.txt
      • (Windows) \Users\[user name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\GPU\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic\Camera Raw GPU Config.txt

      The user Library folder is hidden by default in macOS X 10.7 and later releases. Use the directions here.

    3. Manually delete the Camera Raw GPU Config.txt file.

    4. Relaunch Lightroom Classic.

      Your GPUs are significantly underpowered for Denoise - Adobe suggests a card with a minimum of 8gb RAM, and yours - between them - are well off that minimum.
