Develop mode is showing files black and white and much darker

After upgrading to v 12.4 I experience this:

Developing a file turns it in showing it first and short in bright light green and then in black and white and very dark.

Reverting to v 12.3 delivers the same as described.

Re-exporting an already ready file does not change colours, exposure etc. It is displaying the same as the older file.

The image shows the issue. In the left uppercorner shows how it supposed to look like. The develops screen shows how it actually looking. No further changes made with exposure, colours etc. (Windows 10)

I worked through these suggestions but the problem stays.

I also reinstalled the Adobe software I have.

Does disabling the GPU make any difference?

Edit > Preferences > Performance > set Use graphics processor to Off.

Your monitor profile may be defective. Temporarily change it to sRGB to see if the issue is gone.

It is already on sRGB, sRGB IEC61966-2.1 to be exact.

I think the white frame is the background color set to white. That's how I work.

@ds468628

If resetting the preferences doesn't fix the issue, try purging the Camera Raw cache under Edit > Preferences > Performance. This will delete the Develop previews, and force them to be recreated.

Thanks for the asnwers.

I can confirm that the white space around the photo is the background colour.

For the other suggestions I have to wait as I cannot start Lightroom now (it gives a crash report directly after starting). Creative cloud is also offline.
