Hello,

I have a PC, which I bought last year in 2022, here are the key specs :
- AMD Ryzen 9 5950X

- RTX3070Ti 8 GB

- 64 GB RAM

- Samsung SSD 1TB M.2, where all software is installed.

Before a few months, Lightroom started to be extremely slow, almost impossible to work on.
I uninstalled it and tried to install it again, but no luck.

So we are talking here that when I apply some changes, for example, brightness, white balance etc, I must wait 15-20 seconds to see that change. And a brush tool is not even in real-time, so I make a movement with a mouse, and then I wait and see that mask is on parts where shouldn't be. But it's not that just LR is slow, the whole PC is very slow while LR is running.

I am really frustrated.

Do you have any advice?

The first thing that you should try is to switch off the GPU support from the Lightroom preferences and check if that helps to fix the issue.

Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" > Restart Lightroom.

https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/troubleshoot-gpu.html

Another step is to try to reset the Lightroom preferences.

It's recommended to backup your preferences before you reset the preferences to the default settings:

If this doesn't help we need more informations about your environment.

Is you system up-to-date? All updates and patches for the operating systems and applivcations are installed?

All recent drivers for your hardware devices installed, especially for your graphic card.

Please provide also a copy of your 'System Info'. This can be get from the LrC Help > System Info menu item.

There's a copy button in the System Info dialog. Press this button and paste the info into your next forum post.

First, I recommend that you switch the GPU back to Auto. This will ensure that LrC uses the GPU features that are fully supported. In your case that should mean that you achieve 'Full Acceleration'.

Second, the LogiOptions plugin is known to cause problems when used with Lightroom Classic. I recommend that you disable  it or better still remove it altogther.
