Discolored Squares Appearing when I share a collection

New Here ,
Nov 19, 2018 Nov 19, 2018

Recently I found that pictures in a gallery that I did for a client were showing up with pink squares on the pictures where they should not be. Thinking it some sort of strange glitch I deleted the messed up photos and reuploaded them and they were fine. I went picture by picture to make sure I didn't miss any. The next day when I opened the gallery again I found three pictures with new squares (this time blue)! The raw file is clean, the jpeg export is clean. Something about sharing the collection is messing up my photos! Is this happening to anyone else? Have you found a way to stop it?

There are lots of reports on these here and on feedback.photoshop.com . For some people these arise when people edit their files using layers in Photoshop, for others it is random. A very strange bug.

For my information can you point to something specific in your link that references this issue in Lightroom.  I must be missing something.

Adobe has acknowledged a similar problem today in this thread.   Lightroom Classic: Red and blue artifacts randomly appear on previews and exported photos | Photosho...

Sorry I meant to say this is all happening in lightroom when I make a collection in lightroom public and share it with clients. I neglected to say it was happening in lightroom. I was not switching between lightroom and photoshop.

Have these images gone through Photoshop at any stage of their development

- i.e. are they tif or psd images? Those images are known to have the

colored transparent rectangle issue.

Part 1

So

1) In LR you get done with your post processing

2) You never went near PS.

3) You export to a JPEG

4) In LR, the JPEG look fine

Moving on

5) In LR, if you soft proof anything odd come up?

6) Outside of LR, If you view that JPEG from whatever your OS uses to do so (just double click on the JPEG), any issues?

Additional inquiry

7) How is the upload to your gallery accomplished?

8) If you go and test with just the one image, and it goes bonkers, does repeating result in same bad outcome? Is it Representative?

Part 2

As is often requested, please post your system information (you never know) and as often recommended do so by clicking on Help (in LR), then System Information, then copy, paste that info in a reply (you may have been thru this before? or seen members request it before)

Note that as Bob Somrak pointed out above, Adobe employee Rikk Floor has confirmed this problem, marked the bug as "acknowledged", and assigned it an internal bug-tracking number: Lightroom Classic: Red and blue artifacts randomly appear on previews and exported photos | Photosho... To avoid splitting the discussion and potentially losing important details, it would be best to continue it in the bug-report topic rather than here.

Gabriella, please add your details to that bug report, and be sure to click Me Too and Follow. That will ensure you get notified when the bug's status changes.
