DNG to JPG loss of EXIF/IPTC data

New Here ,
Oct 16, 2023 Oct 16, 2023

If I import a DNG file to LrC and then edit the file and export to JPG it will not export a lot of metadata (e.g. focal length, ISO, f Number) to the JPG file.

If the original imported file is NEF then all metadata is exported; this is only an issue if the NEF is converted to DNG.

All metadata is visible in LrC - it just isn't inlcluded in the JPG file upon export despite "All Metadata" being selected an no check boxes below that selected in the dialog.

Support tells me this is a "known issue" and to wait for the next update.  When will that update be coming?  I have just installed the latest (13.01).

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

This DNG file, is that a native DNG from camera, or say a NEF RAW that you via an App, or  LrC converted?

If a conversion, converted before importing into LrC, or Converted via Copy as DNG in LrC.

Check the export dialog. You can select which metadata will be embedded in the exported file, and apparently you chose not to add these metadata.
