Does Google Drive (Backup & Sync) Conflict with Lightroom Classic?

I've recently been using Google Backup and Sync to backup my images to Google Drive. I've noticed a number of, different, issues occurring while using Lightroom Classic. The app has crashed, the screen goes black and it has stopped responding, more than once.

Is anyone aware of known issues of this nature? Also can you point me to right right place to report it?

Thanks,

Stephen

I have been storing backup .zip files on Google Drive for many years. About as long as there has been Google Drive. And I have been using LR for 11 years (versions 2 to 8) and never had any problems with either app. However, I should note that Google Drive does not run all the time by me (does not launch at boot-up.) I launch it when there is a new catalog backup or other new file in the local folder. Windows 10.

Thank you @elie_di that is very useful and helpful. I've started to only run it when I'm not using certain other apps, perhaps at the end of a day to back up images.

More detail is needed before we can provide an answer. Explain all the steps you follow to make this happen, in detail, so we could possibly reproduce what you are doing. Explain where the files are located and where the bakcups are located. And — mandatory — please tell us the version NUMBER of your operating system and version NUMBER of Lightroom. (Do not use words like "latest" or "up-to-date", we need the version NUMBER)

Seriously? It was a simple question. Has Google Backup and sync been known to conflict with Lightroom Classic.

Do you treat everyone who comes here looking for help with such an obstructive manner? If so, I doubt they stick around for long.
