P: LrC Double clicking Denoise (knob) reverts the slider's position (50%), but not the visible noise

I use the Denoise slider.

I see the noise in my picture being updated between 0 - 100% (as it should)

But a double click on the slider reverts it to 50% (as it should), but the noise level on the screen is not updated according the 50%.

This is best visible when you double click on the slider when it is a 0%. After this every thing works normal, when I move the slider with my mouse.

The same might happen at differnent values, but not tested (and less visible).

LR 14.4 on MacOs 15.6

Hey, @rudolfl27731976. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll help you figure this out.

I couldn't reproduce this, and I compared the Before and after view at extreme zoom levels and the amount of noise at 50% is correctly reflected.

Please test and confirm if the issue appears with a specific set of images with no prior edits, and please share a video & screenshots of the workflow and the system info from Lightroom Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

Thanks!

Hi @Sameer K , thanks for your reply. I could replecate the (unexpected) behavior with a RAW file from a different camera.
So it doesn't seem to be camera specific. Let me detail out the exact steps :
* Open LR, Navigate to a picture to be inspected (preferably with some visible noise)

* press D (develop module)

* set Zoom to 100%

* Open Detail, select Denoise, and wait fot it to be completed

* Denoise slider show up at 50%, noise is significant reduced (so far, so good)

* move the Denoise slider to 1% with the mouse (noise will appear, as expected)

* double click on the Denoise slider, it will jump back to 50% (noise will remain @1% level, NOT as expected !!!)

This was part 1, showing the issue I described. For confirmation I then execute:

* verification : press 1x arrow right (next picture appears), press 1x arrow left (original picture appears)

* the Denoise slider is at 1%, so is the noise (Both unexpected behaviors)

Thanks for looking into this.

@Rikk Flohr: Photography, please move to Bugs. I can reproduce the bug following the detailed recipe. One clarification: To "double click on the Denoise slider", double-click on the actual little knob that slides from 1 to 100.
