Downloading my files

I am getting emails saying that I need to download my files within 7 days or they will be deleted.

So I install "Lightroom downloader" which also installs lightroom and creative cloud (camel.. nose... tent...)

And the downloader says "no library found"..

 

So is it not finding my files for some reason, or are there no files to find?

The EMail (Adobe ID) in the message you were sent is the Email you need to use when logging into the Downloader. If they match you will see your library if any. If you enter a different Adobe Id, it may not show you anything.

Maybe because its not about Lightroom Classic, and this is the Lightroom Classic forum where such discussions are out of place and off topic.

Are you using Lightroom Classic? Or some other version of Lightroom? Please be specific.


Can you also please provide the exact text of the e-mail?

I was using LR classic. IDK what version it re-installed with the "downloader' and creative cloud.

They are talking about Lightroom and not Lightroom Classic. If you use any version of Lightroom, including mobile versions (but not including Lightroom Classic) to store photos in the cloud, this is what they are talking abot.
