Question

DXO PureRaw3 can't export back to Lightroom Classic

Hi Guys, and thank-you for taking the time to try and help with my ongoing problem.

I am using Lightroom Classic (subscription) on a Dell Inspiron computer, using Windows.I also have installed DXO PureRaw 3 installed and use it regularly. Problem only started recently (after a DXO PureRaw update) and it occurs when I send an image from Lightroom to PureRaw3, PR3 does its noise reduction and then tries to export back to LrC but the PR3 software stalls at about 1-2 seconds remaining and then can't export the dng file back to LrC. I have completely deleted PR3 from my operating system on two occasions and re-installed the software but the problem persists.

Can anyone suggest a fix to this problem as I have contacted DXO and have received no reply from them?

BTW, please don't suggest any other noise reduction software as I already have Topaz Photo AI installed and I'm using that in the meantime.

Thanks for taking the time Guys,

Bruce.

I suggest using an application called 'Lightroom Classic'. Look for 'Enhance - Denoise'...

@JohanElzenga You suggestion is ok, but we don't know how powerful the computer is.

If it's not powerful enough in my opinion it's better to use external tools.

My System: Intel i7-8700K - 64GB RAM - NVidia Geforce RTX 3060 - Windows 11 Pro 25H2 -- LR-Classic 15 - Photoshop 27 - Nik Collection 8 - PureRAW 6 - Topaz Photo AI

It's still a reasonable suggestion, Axel - if the OP's computer can run PureRaw (another resource-intensive app) effectively, it's likely to be powerful enough for AI Denoise.

You write that the issue only started when DXO PureRaw was updated. Therefore, your answer is more likely to come from DXO. Typically, folk on the DXO forum are pretty quick to provide solutions though. So, maybe that's the  best place to ask. Link provided below

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I have contacted DXO, over a week ago, and they have not yet bothered getting back to me?

But nobody here can give you DxO-specific advice - whatever the problem is, it's clearly DxO's responsibility, not Adobe's. This forum isn't intended to make up for DxO's lacklustre customer support.

On top of which, the DxO forum - which Ian has pointed you to - runs like this forum: users, rather than an official DxO voice. So even if you have "contacted DxO" without success, you still need to be asking on that forum, not this one.

Oh - and you still haven't told us what version of LrC you're using. As Axel implies, you could still be using LrC version 7, for all we know.

Which version of Lightroom do you use?

Which version of PureRAW do you have installed?

What happened if you open a RAW file directly in PureRAW and after editing export it to Lightroom?

I thought that I made it pretty clear that I am using Lightroom Classic Subscription and the latest DXO PureRaw3 and that I have exported from Lightroom to DXO PueRaw3 and the problem occurs when DXO PureRaw3 tries to export back to Lightroom???

Not really, even if you have a subscription you can still use older versions. It's better to give us the exact version number of the application that you're using.

You also don't answer my question: What happened if you open a RAW file directly in PureRAW and after editing export it to Lightroom?

Do you also have tried to install an older version of PureRAW? It's possible that's a bug in the recent version.

I would also recommend to post your problem in the appropriate DXO forum. The appropriate link you'll find in @Ian Lyons answer.
