'Edit in' function in LRC not working when exporting to PS2025

Community Beginner ,

Since the latest update I have been unable to carry out the above function when denoise edit is activated.  This has resulted in PS2025 freezing or not opening at all with resultant inability to continue edits in PS2025.

Overall the latest update has slowed or frozen frequently which is very frustrating and slowing my work rate.  Is there a solution?

Hi @iant95720937,

Thanks for reporting this. You're not alone here. We've seen similar behavior in earlier versions of Lightroom Classic when choosing 'Edit in Photoshop'.

Here's what we recommend for now:

• Update Lightroom Classic to 15.0.1 if you haven’t already
• Either upgrade to Photoshop 2026 or roll back to Photoshop 26.X.X, which has been more stable with LrC handoff
• Check whether you have multiple Photoshop versions installed (for example, PS 2025, PS 2026, or Photoshop Beta). If so, please keep only one version of Photoshop installed and test again.
• Make sure versions are aligned, for example:
- LrC 2025 with PS 2025
- LrC 2026 with PS 2026

In many cases, this resolves the freeze or failure to launch.

If the issue still persists after updating, please share the following so we can investigate further:

• A short screen recording showing the Edit In workflow and where it freezes

• System Info from Lightroom Classic (Help > System Info, copy & paste here)

Once we have that, we can escalate this with complete context if needed.

Best regards,

Anshul Saini
