Edit in Photoshop CC2017 - no LR modifications make it to PS

My general flow has always been - do most work in LR and then complicated layer issues I deal with in PS...

With the current LR/PS CC When I choose "Edit in Photoshop CC2017" it simply opens the ORIGINAL unedited RAW file, not a tiff or PSD with the modifications I have made in LR.

I do NOT get a choice of "Open Original" "Open with edits" etc... that I used to get... I don't know when this started happening, but it USED to give me options

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be going wrong?

A gentleman over on http://Photography-on-the.net helped me work through the issue....

TIL:

1) When LR shows images resized in the "viewing area", it lies sometimes.

2) The highres, full sized images ARE the same.

3) The exported smaller image despite being exported the SAME way, isn't necessarily going to be the same.

4) There are still some kind, patient individuals in the Internet.

Hello Does anyone know what actions to take in the above case?

There is no real solution given here.

I have tried all the options I can find by Adobe, plus uninstalling iCloud Lightroom photoshop 2018 and bridge then ran iCloud cleaner. Re-downloaded all of the above. I still cannot edit in photoshop from lightroom with lightroom adjustments. PLEASE HELP!

many thanks

A

LR is sending the RAW file to PS With the edits you have made. It shows in PS as a RAW file extension until you do a Save. It then turns that RAW file into either a PSD or TIFF depending on what option you have chosen in the External Editing tab of the LR preferences.

Do an exaggerated edit on some file in LR, something really odd like changing the colors or even just desaturated to B&W look, then send to PS. Do you now see the edits done in LR?

To give more info - it would appear that SOME edits are making the trip...  I'm working on a longer exposure starfield picture so I have the Noise Reduction settings pretty high in LR... That Noise reduction isn't showing in Photoshop, while things like WB and Exposure edits are going across.

I tried a quick test to see if perhaps it was just a different zoom level -  Edit in PS - made my change - saved..... The new photo in LR had significantly more noise than the one that was "copy 2" in LR.

Also - what happened to getting the 3 options when I used to choose "Edit in PS" ?

"Edit a Copy with Lightroom Adjustments"

"Edit a Copy"

"Edit Original"

I don't get this option when I choose "Edit with Adobe Photoshop CC 2017"

I am having simliar issues... only when I click edit in PS, nothing happens.  Randomly LR also started making copies of some of my images?  Did I update something and it messed things up?!
