Edit in Photoshop - change size while opening

Hi,

 

I miss the oportunity to change size to images while opening them from Lightroom to Photoshop. This feature is available in Camera Raw. My workaround is to export files, import them again and then Edit in Photoshop, but this creates a lot of copies that is not needed. Is there another way around this, maybe a plugin?

    Or even simpler (because you are using a Mac): First hit Cmd-S to save metadata to XMP, then drag the file from the Lightroom grid onto the Photoshop icon in your dock...

    Why not to a File > Export, set the size, and then set Open in Photoshop in the Post Processing Step at the bottom of the Export dialog. You can save different sizes as export presets.

    Thank you, I tried this and it was a good trick I didn't think of. However, there was another trick in this thread that worked even better 🙂

    I don't think this can be done from the "Edit In" function in LR, but you can easily use "Image Size" in Photoshop to adjust very quickly (much easier that exporting and reimporting a copy). If there are sizes you use regularly, you could even create actions in Photoshop to do your resizing with a single button click. Let me know if you need a pointer to how to do this in Photoshop.

    Thank's for your reply! I've done an action for this in Photoshop, but the problem is that I open many photos at the same time and it takes a lot of time to open them when the files are so big. That is a great thing with Camera Raw, I notice I save time while opening from Camera Raw.
