Editing Files I've Already Imported and Edited

When I want to re-edit images, or edit images from the folder I've already edited, all the images I previously imported are grayed out. For instance, when I import images from my XQD card, they're imported into folder 2023, subfolder (file date). I'll edit them and expport them. When I go back later to edit more from that folder, I can't because the files are grayed out. I never make a different catalogue, they always go into the same one. If I want to edit pictures from the folder I've already edited, I have to move the files to another folder. I'm sure there's a correct way to do this, what would that be?

Well, after I read another reply, I guess I am getting the two conflated.

Ar you trying to import the images a second time, if so that's why the images are greyed out because they have already been imported.

If you wish to continue editing then just proceed or you can create a virtual copy then proceed to further edits from there. Use the help option on the menu bar and explore how to use virtual copies and snapshots.

I guess that's what I'm trying to do. I didn't realize that. Thanks. 🙂 I'll read the help option.
