Enhance Details - LR CC Classic - Feb 2019 Update

Just updated CC to Feb 2019 release, and subsequently the Windows 10 OS to Oct 2018 release.  On trying the new enhance details feature, it builds a new DNG but shows nothing but a black image. I've tried all sorts of different RAW files from different cameras (canon/nikon) and get the same issue.  Anyone else experiencing this issue and managed to find a work around?

This is a known issue affecting some customers, but not all. The Adobe engineers are investigating. I suggest you add your details to the link below. You will then get a notification when a fix becomes available.

Even though you have updated the OS it may be that older hardware is not compatible with the fairly new technology. This feature uses CoreML (mac) and WInML (windows). In the meantime you may wish to check that drivers for your video card are up to date.

Add me to the list of those who are so weary of Adobe's updates that I waited two months to upgrade to 2019.  I ended up having to reinstall Imagenomics and NIK and the "new" enhanced detail doesn't work at all even after the one hour windows 1809 update.

Some new features should be kept secret.  smh

You must have Windows 10 Version 1809 installed to use Enhance Details.

Verify that you have version 1809 installed (Settings > System > About). Not everyone does despite Windows Update reporting that Windows is up to date.

you are right, windows update says that the system is update but the latest version is 1803.... and it does not find any other update...

    i don't know why..

Thanks Jon.  My rig is less than 18 months old and I spent all day updating the firmware/drivers etc after the windows update screwed everything up.  I'll add my name to the list as suggested.  Cheers  Paul
