Exclude Camera Roll from LR Mobile Sync

Is there anyway to get LR Mobile to only sync the photos taken in the Lightroom iPhone app? I thought that was the way it worked, but it syncs everything from the Camera Roll also. Since LR Photos do NOT go into Camera Roll, I don't see anyway to get them into LRCC other than sync. But, I don't want every picture I take to be synced to LRCC. I take pictures of notes, signs, labels. and all sorts of casual stuff that I then have to delete from LRCC, my iPhone, Google Photos, iCloud, ​ad infinitem.​ If this is the way LR Mobile sync is supposed to work, it is a poorly thought out feature.

Usually you can click the LR icon (top left of screen) to open the settings panel.

There you can turn on/off “Auto Add Photos”

Since the LR Mobile camera does not save to the Camera Roll. the only way to get those images into LRCC is by Sync. I want to sync those but not the pictures that I can download from the Camera Roll. I could choose RAW only and use another app to take JPEGs, but it probably is simpler just to give up on the LR Mobile app for taking pictures and use a more sophisticated camera app.
