Existing stacks not shown in collections

I added around 1300 pictures to quick collection. These pictures also contained stacked pictures.
Saving quick collection to a "regular" collection the stacks are not shown in this new collection.

When going to orgin folder in library the stack is shown.

Is this a feature or just an error/bug?

If you want the rest of the stack to appear in the quick collection, you have to expand the stack first and then select all photos in the stack, and then all photos in the stack will appear in the quick collection (but not as a stack).

Normally, when you have a stack and it is collapsed so only single photo shows, and then select that single photo, any actions you perform are on the single photo, not on the stack.

Ok, it seems that this is a regular behaviour. Though it's not really satisfiying...
What is the reason to break stacks when putting pictures in collections?

According to the documentation:

Stacks are specific to the folder or collection in which they were created. The photos in a stack must all be from the same folder or the same collection; you cannot create stacks while in a smart collection or a published collection.
