export to subfolders keeping folder structure

I'd like to copy thousands of photos from a folder with a huge subfolder structure (ie many, many subfolders) and preserve the output into folders with those names ie each of the subfolders in the output would have the same name as the original.   Is there any way this would be possible without doing it subfolder by subfolder?
