Failure to launch

Hello ! I have been using Lightroom v.6 since 2016 (purchased) (now with Windows 10), and lately would refuse to start (shows the first 'page' and shuts down after a few seconds).  I uninstalled it, then re-installed, and samething !  I would appreciate if you could tell me what could be wrong.  Thanks !   Rejean

The first thing that you should try is to switch off the GPU support from the Lightroom preferences and check if that helps to fix the issue.

Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" > Restart Lightroom.

Another step is to try to reset the Lightroom preferences.

If this doesn't help we need more informations about your environment.

Please provide also a copy of your 'System Info'. This can be get from the LrC Help > System Info menu item.

There's a copy button in the System Info dialog. Press this button and paste the info into your next forum post.

 

Do you get an error message? If yes, please post the exact message or an screenshot. 

 

If your system up-to-date? Do you have installed all recent patches, updates and the latest drivers (especially the driver for your graphic device)?
