Film strip 'Auto' centering

So, regardless whether I am in Library or Develop module I have the selected image in the main viewing area and the filmstrip below. Whenever I click on the far left or far right image in the filmstrip the filmstrip automatically centers to put the selected image in the center of the filmstrip. I find this feature annoying as hell. I am moving fast, choosing and culling images and this feature constantly has me getting out of my flow. Does anyone know a way to turn this off so the filmstrip does not move unless I choose to move it.

If not, "Dear Lightroom - Make it an option".

    Not that I know of.

I suggest you do your culling in the Library module with the Grid View active. you can make the Grid View thumbnails as large as you want.

Also, check into the feature Photo > Auto Advance. This automatically navigates you to the next photo when culling and rating images.
