Dear community
I want to frame a photo with a grey hairline in the book module of Lightroom Classic. How can I do that?
Thank you in advance, Martin.

Dear community

Finally I solved the problem by setting the page background to light gray for the high-key images; a really nice solution.

Select a photo Cell and check the [Photo Border Color] box

The slider determines the width. The Color box allows you to select color/grey.

Note: One glitch is-The 'Border' will place a "Stroke" around the CELL, and not a photo that does not 'fill' the cell.

You might also like some of the 'Creative' Page templates that have some cell border styles-

Thank you, dear WobertC

Many of my images don't fill the cell vertically or horizontally; and that is exactly the problem you described as a bug. Therefore this solution unfortunately does not work for me.

Best regards, Martin.

I admit that I have rarely used the 'Border' function in the Book module!

You can alter the shape of a Cell (and its border) to match the shape (aspect) of the image. This would overcome the "bug". ie. Make the CELL fit to the shape of the PHOTO.

Before I (select images) design a book in the LrC module, I make a decision if I want borders.

Then I use NIK Efex or Photoshop to make derivatives with the Borders . Then I use these 'bordered' photos in the book.
