Hi ,

I usually use my office PC to process my photos under LR classic or PS.

It's a DELL OPTIPLEX-7070 SFF (Intel Core i7-9700T CPU @ 2.00GHz 1.99 GHz / 32Go RAM / Windows 11 PRO / Intel UHD Graphics 630)

Actually the noise reduction with IA takes a very very long time...

And as I shoot a lot of photos on sports events I have to increase my processing time...

So I plan to buy a new PC wih a better configuration.

As the price is not the same, please help me to check if it's a good configuration 🙂
I am considering purchasing a DELL XPS  (https://www.dell.com/fr-fr/shop/notre-gamme-pro/ordinateur-de-bureau-xps/spd/xps-8960-desktop) with that configuration :

  • 14th Gen Intel® Core™ i9-14900K (24 cores, 32 threads, 3.2GHz to 5.6GHz)
  • Windows 11 Professionnel
  • Carte graphique NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4080 SUPER,  16 Go GDDR6X
  • 32GB DDR5, 2x16GB, 5600MT/s
  • Disque SSD 2 To, M.2, PCIe NVMe

I wish to have my two extra large LG screens 2560*1080px as the GEForce has 2 DP (on the PC description they only show 1 DP but I imagine that it's dependoing on the choosen Graphics cards).

Please let me know if it's a good choice or if you recommand a more suitable product ?
Many thanks.

IMHO These are the key things in the specs of this computer

  • 14th Gen Intel® Core™ i9-14900K (24 cores, 32 threads, 3.2GHz to 5.6GHz)
  • Carte graphique NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4080 SUPER,  16 Go GDDR6X

So I would say this ought to be a great computer on which to run LrC and Photoshop.
