Hi Jsyder,

We have been informed that AMD is aware of this.

In the mean while, could you try the suggestions mentioned under Post #54 https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1822782?start=40&tstart=0# and check if that makes any difference.

Well, some cards simply won't work (be compatible with the code).  I'm not sure if this is one of them or not.

  • Requirements
    • You need to be running Windows 7 or later, or Mac OS 10.9 or later. (Note that LR CC/6 can run on Mac 10.8, but without GPU accelaration)
    • The card needs to support Open GL 3.3 or later, which includes most cards from about 2010/2011 onwards.
    • It doesn’t need a top-spec graphics card. If you’re buying a new one, a recent mid-range graphics card with 2GB of RAM is a great choice.
    • You need to be running recent drivers, especially if you have problems. Windows Update often suggests outdated drivers – check the card manufacturer’s website instead.

I have the same problem Keety-uk and I think we both understand what hardware we have and if the latest driver is installed!

May be an AMD driver issue, but we need more AMD owner feedback. I'm running Catalyst Version 15.4 Beta and a Radeon HD 6800 that supports 100% of OpenGL Extensions versions 3.3,4.0 and 4.1

I'm also hit with the GPU not supported. My GPU seems good enough for Ps CC 2014 but not good enough for Lr CC. Needless to say I'm running the latest drivers. Do I need to go shopping for a card to replace my AMD Radeon HD 6700? It meets all the required specs.

i also added a thread for radeon users who WERE sucessful in getting openGL working and haven't gotten any replies yet.

of course, people who aren't having problems are all probably working, and not poking around the support forums like us suckers.

Hi All,

This is a GPU related issue. Please update your GPU drivers from the manufacturers website.

In the mean while, disabling "Use Graphics Processor" (Preferences > Performance), should help load the Develop module.

Really? We are all aware that our AMD graphic processors are NOT working with the update. Although, like everyone else in this forum, it meets the requirements. We have also updated our drivers as requested. Can someone from Adobe communicate with someone from Radeon and get this resolved? We actually want to get it to work, rather than disabling it. It's one of the reasons alot of people have either taken out a plan, or chose to upgrade etc. I think as paying customers, we deserve a bit more than telling us it's a GPU related issue when that's what the entire forum is already talking about!
