Has Adjustments vs Has Edits

Anybody know the difference between these two? They are rules in a smart collection. One thing I noticed is that a photo that has been cropped and no other develop module changes shows as having been edited but not adjusted.

Kinda confusing?

"Has Edits" is documented, but it's difficult to find on Adobe's Web site using the the site's search box, I always resort to Google:

    https://www.google.com/search?q=%22has+edits%22+smart+collection+site%3Ahelpx.adobe.com&oq=%22has+edits%22+smart+collect…

A smart collection created based on the new rule 'Has Edits' 'Is True' includes images that have adjustments applied and also the images that only have a crop (and no other adjustments) applied. The existing rule 'Has Adjustments' includes images that have adjustments applied, but excludes those images that only have a crop (and no other adjustments) applied. If you want to include cropped images in the smart collection, then choose 'Has Edits' in the rule instead.

I wonder what was going thru their minds when they implemented these rules? It sure would be nice if there was some documentation?

    Thanks for the feedback

There it is! I did do a google search but I must not of typed in the right search criteria. The PDF manual is more detailed then the online user guide. There's actually a newer version of the PDF on Adobe's website then what a Google search turns up.

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Help | Lightroom Classic CC User Guide

There is a link in the lower right part of the page...  'Lightroom Classic CC manual (PDF)'. They should put that in the Help menu as well.

    Thanks

Has Adjustments means it's been adjusted but not cropped.

Has Edits means it's been adjusted and cropped.

Are they the only distinctions between the two?

    That is my understanding, yes.
