The healing tool is very slow compared to the one in Photoshop. Never unsderstood why. And sometimes does not heal using a  nerby sample. Same with the new eraser tool. I think it needs a lot of improvement or the intervention of AI. Thank you.

"Never understood why"

Here is an explanation -  ANALOGY OF EDIT STEPS

And using a "lot" of  healing will slow LrC (as explained in the article)

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.1.1, Photoshop 27.3.1, ACR 18.1.1, Lightroom 9.0, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.2 .

Why is a task faster in Photoshop than Lightroom Classic? Lots of reasons, including the internal architecture of the program, which will almost always make Photoshop faster.

Are you using this healing and erase tool A LOT on a particular photo in LrC, and that is when it is slow?

Sometimes I use it a lot and sometimes not. But in any case I can notice that this tool demands a lot to the computer (I use an iMac Retina 27"- 2017) and when I have a lot of healing to do, or when I have to erase long items of the picture, I rely more on Photoshop that does the job much better and faster, thus I wish that the tool could be improved in LR Classic.

How big is your monitor in pixels (not inches)? How big are the original photos in pixels, width and height (not megabytes)?
