Hello,

I'm not a professional photographer. I use Lightroom Classic CC to work with my personal photo archive and the cost of 299 rubles per month I was quite satisfied. The cost of 644 rubles per month looks already extremely overpriced. I don't make money from photography, but it's been my hobby for years. Tell me which Adobe product or any other company I can use.

    It’s too expensive!!!

I can’t budget $9.99 US per month for this product. That’s $119.88 USD per year which is $160 Canadian!

Even if I process 100 photos per year, that’s $1.60 per photo and I only will, realistically, process between 3 and 5 photos!! That’s $32 per picture with a commitment to keep paying if I use the program or not.

This product pricing is INSANE!  Why are you doing this?  I have to search for an alternative program now and re-learn. I own a copy of Lightroom 5.7.1 and I’m gong to have to keep using it.  I would have been willing to pay an upgrade price for new features but I am NOT in a financial position to be able to commit $160/year on a perpetual basis.

Also, you need to take global pricing into consideration.  $119.88 for a U.S. customer is MUCH different than $160 CDN.  The purchasing power of a dollar in Canada and U.S. is about the same (i.e. a hamburger costs $5 USD when you’re in the U.S. and $5 CDN when you’re in Canada) – that means that you are, effectively, charging us 32% more for your product because we are Canadian.

Shame on Adobe for abandoning loyal customers like this by pricing it beyond our ability to pay.

We are not Adobe here in this forum, we are other Lightroom users, and we are not doing this. We have no control over pricing.

I'm sure I saw Adobe replying in this forum.

Yes, occasionally Adobe staff reply for TECHNICAL SUPPORT. That's the purpose of this forum. They are not decision makers, they are TECHNICAL SUPPORT staff who can't do anything about pricing decisions, and probably won't react at all to your message.

Nowhere is it stated forums are for technical issues only.

    100% incorrect. See this:

This is not just feedback, it is a topic for discussion among users.  What is your interest in shutting down a discussion on pricing?  Your posts are adding no value to this discussion.  Please allow other users to chime in should they wish to or ignore the discussion if they wish to.  Your opinions have been heard and acknowledged.

I have worked at many technical companies and, I can tell you from experience, that providing feedback to technical staff (who are often later promoted to management positions) is not without benefit.
